Who is this training for?
Our paid training is for anybody, regardless of their role in a company, who wants to increase their proficiency in SoftwarePlant’s BigPicture or BigPicture Enterprise. In general, most companies find it to be most economical to train small groups of people together — usually project or other managers.
Is there a recommended number of participants?
We recommend groups of up to 10 people, particularly for online training, but this is not a rule set in stone. However, surcharges may apply for groups of 11 or more due to the additional resources required. One-on-one training, if desired, is of course possible.
Is this more Jira or BigPicture training?
Our courses are intended to focus on BigPicture, a Jira app (addon/plug-in). But, as our trainers are Jira Certified Administrators, coders and experienced project managers, they will surely answer any Jira-related questions.
Should I choose online or on-site training?
As with most education, online training tends to be less expensive and allows people from different geographical regions to study together simultaneously. As a recent example, this was the preferred delivery method of an American company with trainees in several cities and similar time zones.
However, we consider on-site, in-person training to be more effective when or where this is possible—and we’ll go almost anywhere in the world to deliver it.
Should I choose two-day or three-day training course?
The two-day training covers the full functionality of all modules. It is more product-oriented.
The additional day of the three-day training allows a more tailor-made, process-oriented approach. We take into account the client’s specific business processes and Jira configuration and discuss how BigPicture and BigPicture Enterprise can be configured and applied in this particular case.
How early should I schedule training?
We recommend that you fill out our training questionnaire or contact training@softwareplant.com at least two weeks in advance of online training or four weeks if on-site to confirm the availability of trainers.
How should I prepare for BigPicture training?
You may well be new to BigPicture—the majority of our trainees are! If this is the case, we recommend you spend an hour clicking-around and playing with BigPicture before training. It’s available as a 30-day free trial.
How long does the course last?
Whether you chose the two- or three-day variant, courses are scheduled to run for around eight hours a day with short breaks.
What do I need to provide?
If you chose on-site training, we’d need the use of a suitable room, projector or large TV and internet access; a conference room is ideal.
Who has attended in the past?
From SMEs to giants, you’ll be in the company of Sony, Panasonic, Qualcomm, Allianz, Wirecard and many more.
